Catch Up 22

I cracked my skull open
and out I came
all shiny and new
full of sparkling intent.

But I slipped on semantics

and fell headfirst into apathy
while the world busied itself
with its spinning.

I caught the tail end

(or was it a tailwind)
of a life already in progress
leaving me behind.
